Camp Jellystone Honors Top Performing Jellystone Park Operators Across North America

Camp Jellystone has announced the recipients of its annual awards, recognizing outstanding performance among Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts franchisees across the United States and Canada. 

The awards were presented on Tuesday during the franchise network’s annual Symposium conference in Orlando, Florida.

Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, operated in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, has more than 75 franchised locations. 

The Camp-Resort of the Year award, the company’s highest honor, was presented to Jellystone Park Harrisville, Pennsylvania. The park was recognized for exceeding Jellystone Park standards, showing strong business growth, and upholding the brand’s three pillars: attractions, activities, and its signature Yogi Bear characters. 

Other nominees for this category included Jellystone Park Columbus North in Mt. Gilead, Ohio; Jellystone Park Grayling, Michigan; and Jellystone Park Zion in Hurricane, Utah.

Top Performers awards recognized locations that achieved exceptional year-over-year growth and improvement. 

Honorees included Jellystone Park Chincoteague Island, Virginia; Jellystone Park Estes Park, Colorado; Jellystone Park Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Jellystone Park Milton, New Hampshire; Jellystone Park Niagara Falls, Ontario; and Jellystone Park Woodstock, New Brunswick.

Jessica and Mickey Spak of Jellystone Park Chautauqua County in Jamestown, New York, received the Operator of the Year award, while Emily Bowden of Jellystone Park Zion, Lindsey Cameron of Jellystone Park Cavendish in Prince Edward Island, and Kelly Thompson of Jellystone Park Estes Park in Colorado were named Rookies of the Year.

Jellystone Park Larkspur in Colorado and Jellystone Park Columbus North in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, earned the Carroll Award for achieving the highest assessment ratings. The Maple Leaf Award went to Jellystone Park Niagara Falls, Ontario, for demonstrating dedication to the brand in Canada.

Facility enhancements were recognized at Jellystone Park Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Jellystone Park Lakes Region in Milton, New Hampshire; and Jellystone Park Niagara Falls, Ontario. 

Jellystone Park Tabor City, North Carolina, earned the Happy Camper Award for guest satisfaction, while Jellystone Park Chautauqua County in Jamestown, New York, received the We’ve Got Character Award for its high character interaction scores.

Jellystone Park Columbus North in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, took home the Retail Store of the Year and Theming and Branding awards. The Social Media Award went to Jellystone Park Caledonia, Wisconsin, and Jellystone Park North Texas in Burleson, Texas, received the Club Yogi Rewards Award.

Comfort Station Awards, given to parks that achieved perfect scores in the comfort station section of the annual assessment, went to Jellystone Park Estes Park, Colorado; Jellystone Park Frankenmuth, Michigan; Jellystone Park Grayling, Michigan; Jellystone Park Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Jellystone Park Indianapolis East in Knightstown, Indiana; Jellystone Park Plymouth, Indiana; Jellystone Park South Haven, Michigan; Jellystone Park Tabor City, North Carolina; Jellystone Park Watts Bar Lake in Loudon, Tennessee; Jellystone Park Wichita Falls, Texas; and Jellystone Park Woodstock, New Brunswick.

The Recreation Attractions Award was presented to Jellystone Park Larkspur, Colorado, while Jellystone Park Petoskey, Michigan, and Jellystone Park Warrens, Wisconsin, earned the Curb Appeal Award. 

Jellystone Park Binghamton, New York, received the C.A.R.E. Award for creative recreational programming.

Excellence Awards, given to locations earning overall assessment scores between 90 and 95 percent, were presented to Jellystone Park locations in Burleson, Texas; Carsonville, Michigan; Elberta, Alabama; Fredericksburg, Texas; Kingston, Nova Scotia; Madison, Maine; Monroe City, Missouri; Pittsfield, Illinois; and Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Pinnacle Club Awards, reserved for parks scoring 95 percent or higher on annual assessments, were presented to Jellystone Park locations in Asheboro, North Carolina; Bath, New York; Binghamton, New York; Bloomington, Indiana; Bostic, North Carolina; Brandon, South Dakota; Bremen, Georgia; Caledonia, Wisconsin; Canyon Lake, Texas; Carver, Massachusetts; Cave City, Kentucky; Cavendish, Prince Edward Island; and Chincoteague Island, Virginia.

Additional Pinnacle Club Awards went to Jellystone Park locations in Estes Park, Colorado; Frankenmuth, Michigan; Fremont, Indiana; Gardiner, New York; Glen, New Hampshire; Grayling, Michigan; Greenfield Park, New York; Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Hurricane, Utah; Jamestown, New York; Kerrville, Texas; Knightstown, Indiana; Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Larkspur, Colorado.

Other recipients included Jellystone Park locations in Lincoln, Delaware; Lodi, California; Loudon, Tennessee; Luray, Virginia; Mansfield, Pennsylvania; Mill Run, Pennsylvania; Milton, New Hampshire; Milton, Pennsylvania; Monticello, Iowa; Mount Gilead, Ohio; New Douglas, Illinois; Nelsonville, Ohio; and Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Customer and Guest Service Awards, for parks earning guest satisfaction scores of 4.5 or higher, went to Jellystone Park locations in Asheboro, North Carolina; Bath, New York; Big Prairie, Ohio; Binghamton, New York; Brandon, South Dakota; Burleson, Texas; Canyon Lake, Texas; Cavendish, Prince Edward Island; Cochran, Georgia; and Estes Park, Colorado.

Additional recipients included Jellystone Park locations in Eureka, Missouri; Frankenmuth, Michigan; Fredericksburg, Texas; Grayling, Michigan; Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Jamestown, New York; Kingston, Nova Scotia; Knightstown, Indiana; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Loudon, Tennessee; and Mill Run, Pennsylvania.

Rounding out the Customer and Guest Service Awards were Jellystone Park locations in Tabor City, North Carolina; Tyler, Texas; Uniontown, Ohio; Wichita Falls, Texas; and Woodstock, New Brunswick.

Recreation Awards, presented to parks achieving recreation scores of 4.2 or higher in the annual guest survey, were awarded to Jellystone Park locations in Asheboro, North Carolina; Bath, New York; Binghamton, New York; Bostic, North Carolina; Brandon, South Dakota; Caledonia, Wisconsin; Canyon Lake, Texas; and Cavendish, Prince Edward Island.

Other honorees included Jellystone Park locations in Estes Park, Colorado; Frankenmuth, Michigan; Grayling, Michigan; Greenfield Park, New York; Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Hurricane, Utah; Jamestown, New York; Loudon, Tennessee; Mill Run, Pennsylvania; and Mount Gilead, Ohio.

The Jim Webb Spirit Award was presented to Robert E. Schutter, Jr., who has guided the Jellystone Park franchise since 1989 and served as company president for decades, overseeing franchise operations, marketing, and development across the U.S. and Canada.

Camp Jellystone, headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, continues to recognize franchisees for operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and dedication to brand standards that help shape the outdoor hospitality experience for families throughout North America.
