Coachella Lakes RV Resort in Coachella, Calif., is preparing to host two weekends of Halloween festivities, beginning Oct. 24–26 with an encore scheduled for Oct. 31–Nov. 1. The event, Halloween at Coachella Lakes, will feature activities for campers and visitors of all ages.
The seasonal programming combines traditional Halloween staples with resort-specific entertainment.
Guests can expect costume contests, pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, and a haunted trail, alongside fishing tournaments, scavenger hunts, and glow-in-the-dark putting.
Organizers said the decision to extend the celebration across two weekends was made to give more families and travelers the opportunity to participate.
“Mark your calendars for October 24–26, and because the ghosts demanded it, we added an encore: October 31–November 1!” the event announcement stated.
The first weekend opens Friday, Oct. 24, with pumpkin bowling at the clubhouse. A dive-in movie featuring Coco follows at the pool, before guests close out the evening with glow-in-the-dark putting at the resort’s course.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, the schedule begins with a pup costume contest at the dog park. Halloween tie-dye and pumpkin carving sessions take place during the day, followed by a mummy wrap race in the afternoon.
Evening events include a costume contest, RV trick-or-treating, and the debut of the Terror Trail.
The Terror Trail, promoted as “the trail begins where screams echo loudest,” is planned as the resort’s central haunted attraction.
Throughout the weekend, ongoing activities such as a spooky scavenger hunt, site decorating competition, and fishing tournament will give guests opportunities to participate at their own pace.
The second weekend begins Friday, Oct. 31, with a morning pup costume contest. The day’s programming mirrors the first weekend, offering tie-dye, pumpkin carving, and mummy wrap races before the evening’s costume contest, trick-or-treating, and haunted trail.
Saturday, Nov. 1, concludes the event with pumpkin bowling at the clubhouse, a second showing of Coco at the pool, and glow-in-the-dark putting.
