Coachella Lakes RV Resort in Coachella, Calif., is preparing to host its first Thanksgiving weekend celebration, offering guests a lineup of family activities and holiday traditions in a resort setting.
The program is scheduled to begin Thursday, Nov. 27, and will run through Saturday, Nov. 29.
The resort, located a short drive from downtown Palm Springs, is promoting the holiday event as an opportunity for visitors to celebrate without the usual stress of travel and preparation. The weekend is designed to combine outdoor recreation with community-centered activities for all ages.
“This Thanksgiving, trade the stress for sunshine, lakeside views, and a festive holiday escape. We’ve planned a weekend full of fall fun for the whole family — and all that’s missing is you!” the resort announces.
Coachella Lakes RV Resort markets itself as a family-friendly destination with 351 full-service sites, luxury vacation rentals, and amenities that include scenic lakes, pools, and an 18-hole putting course.
The Thanksgiving schedule builds on those offerings with fitness events, arts and crafts, and social gatherings.
The weekend will open on Thursday morning (November 27) with a Pumpkin Pie Social at the pickleball grass area.
Later that day, guests will gather for a guest-led Thanksgiving potluck at Site 367 beginning at 4 p.m.
On Friday (November 28), the schedule begins with a Turkey Trot at 8 a.m., starting at the pro shop.
Morning activities also include a Thanksgiving-themed craft session and a do-it-yourself fall body scrub workshop, followed by an afternoon of rock painting.
Saturday (November 29) will focus on athletic and creative events. Guests can participate in a pickleball social on the courts beginning at 8 a.m., while the putting course hosts an all-day honorary tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A tie-dye activity, billed as “Wild Tie Dye,” is planned for late morning at the pickleball grass area.
A fishing derby will run across the three days, giving guests an opportunity to enjoy the resort’s lakes.
Coachella Lakes RV Resort is a luxury retreat in the Coachella Valley, positioning itself as an alternative to traditional camping and RV destinations. Its location allows visitors to explore nearby attractions such as Joshua Tree National Park and desert hiking trails, while returning each evening to a resort environment.
