Mission Bay RV Resort Unveils Expansion with 147 New Campsites

In a bid to enhance San Diego’s (California) coastal access and affordable camping facilities, Terra Vista Management has opened reservations for the 147 newly developed campsites at Mission Bay RV Resort

These fresh additions are situated in the northeast corner of De Anza Cove, known for its breathtaking landscape and tranquil surroundings.

They are located at 2727 De Anza Road, adjacent to De Anza Cove Park. Located near the Mission Bay Golf Course, these new campsites, dubbed Mission Bay RV Resort – North, offer not only natural beauty but also a plethora of outdoor recreational activities.

Jacob Gelfand, the chief operating officer of Terra Vista Management, proudly stated, “We’re proud of our work to clean up the De Anza Cove peninsula and make it safer and more accessible for San Diego residents, visitors, and wildlife to enjoy for years to come.” Terra Vista also manages  Campland on the Bay and Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach.

The resort’s cleanup project has been in its final phase since February, estimating over $8 million.

The project involved the removal of 169 mobile homes after careful asbestos abatement and addressing other hazards. The project also ensured the revitalization of overgrown landscaping and the refurbishment of the coastal bike and pedestrian path. This picturesque path is anticipated to welcome residents and tourists once again later this summer.

For private campground owners and operators in California, this development signifies the importance and profitability of enhancing coastal access while ensuring environmental sustainability. Such projects attract not only local campers but also tourists, thus promoting local economies. Additionally, they highlight the role of private enterprises in balancing commerce with environmental responsibility and stewardship.

Guests at Mission Bay RV Resort can look forward to a host of upgraded amenities. These include a luxurious pool and spa, a clubhouse featuring games and a lounge area, and additional laundry facilities. Furthermore, guests can access amenities and entertainment at the nearby Campland on the Bay, via the scenic Mike Gotch Memorial Bridge path.

In an inclusive move, the resort has also prepared a directory of local rental companies for visitors who are new to camping or do not own an RV. These companies offer RVs ready for use, contributing to an effortless and enjoyable camping experience.

Mission Bay RV Resort – North is expected to significantly boost coastal recreation access, a welcome development as city leaders put the final touches on long-term plans for Northeast Mission Bay. These new campsites reaffirm Terra Vista Management’s commitment to creating more accessible and sustainable outdoor recreational spaces, setting an example for private campground operators across California.
