Kampgrounds of America (KOA) has announced that Amit Israni and Pacifica Companies have acquired the Crescent City/Redwoods KOA Holiday in Del Norte County, California.
The acquisition brings new ownership with extensive experience in hospitality and real estate investment, aiming to enhance the campground’s amenities and strengthen local community connections.
The Crescent City/Redwoods KOA Holiday, located at 4241 Highway 101 North in Crescent City, is surrounded by redwood forest and coastal views.
The 17-acre campground includes 10 acres of forested land and has long served as a base for travelers exploring the nearby Redwood National and State Parks.
Israni, who brings a background in hospitality to the project, emphasized a continued commitment to service and guest experience.
“We’re proud to continue KOA’s legacy in such an iconic setting,” Israni said in a press release. “Between the redwoods, the coastline, and the surrounding community, we believe there’s no better place to connect with nature and each other.”
The campground offers a variety of accommodations, including full-hookup RV sites suitable for large rigs, one- and two-room cabins, and private tent sites within the redwoods.
On-site amenities include a KampK9 dog park, playground, game room, camp store, and tour center for regional attractions.
According to KOA’s 2024 Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campgrounds contribute significantly to local economies.
Campers spent an estimated $61 billion in 2024, with an average of $200 spent daily. Interest in small towns and regional food tourism continues to grow among outdoor travelers.
KOA Holiday campgrounds are positioned as full-service locations offering a blend of comfort and recreation. Amenities such as KOA Patios, Deluxe Cabins with full bathrooms, and recreation facilities support both short and extended stays.
The Crescent City/Redwoods KOA Holiday joins more than 500 KOA-branded campgrounds across the United States and Canada. KOA’s other campground types include KOA Journeys, which cater to travelers in transit, and KOA Resorts, which feature extensive activities and group facilities.
KOA, headquartered in Billings, Montana, supports its franchisees with services including education, marketing, and technology.
