Brown & Brown Strengthens Retail Segment with Leadership Appointments

Brown & Brown has begun implementing new leadership appointments within its retail segment, reinforcing its strategy to scale operations and expand collaboration following its acquisition of Risk Strategies.

The company announced that several executives have been elevated to roles as retail senior leaders (RSLs) and retail vice presidents (RVPs), taking on broader responsibilities while continuing to oversee their existing businesses. The move is designed to align leadership with Brown & Brown’s growth and integration objectives.

Appointed as retail senior leaders are John Mina, John Greenbaum, John Scroope, and John Vaglica. Each brings long-standing experience within the organization and will now play a greater role in driving strategy across the segment.

The company also named Ed Flanagan, Steve Giannone, Neil Krauter Sr., Robert Rosenzweig, and Patrick Roth as retail vice presidents.

In addition to these appointments, Brown & Brown introduced a new leadership position to oversee its North American operations. Mark Manzi has been named North American retail brokerage leader, responsible for carrier relationships across property & casualty, employee benefits, and personal Lines.

The company said Manzi’s appointment underscores its emphasis on strengthening partnerships with carriers and ensuring consistent service delivery across all lines of business. His role will focus on aligning resources to meet customer needs while advancing Brown & Brown’s competitive position.

“These appointments mark a pivotal moment for our Retail segment,” said Barrett Brown, executive vice president and president of the Retail segment. “By bringing together leaders with deep specialization and a shared commitment to excellence, we are strengthening our foundation for scalable growth and enhanced collaboration.”

“Their expanded roles will accelerate our ability to deliver innovative solutions, deepen carrier partnerships and elevate the customer experience across every line of business. This is more than a leadership update—it’s a strategic leap forward for Retail,” Brown added.

John Mina, senior vice president of the Retail segment, emphasized the strength of the leadership group.

“The caliber of talent and proven track record these leaders bring to our Retail segment is exceptional,” Mina said. “Each has consistently demonstrated the ability to deliver results, build strong partnerships and lead with integrity..”
