Blue Ox Opens Registration for 2025 OxSmart RV Technician Training

Blue Ox has opened registration for its 2025 OxSmart Training event, which began accepting applicants.

The training is scheduled for Oct. 6–8 in West Point, Nebraska, and is designed specifically for RV technicians seeking advanced instruction in towing systems.

The annual program offers a hands-on approach to learning, with participants working directly on installations, diagnostics, and factory operations.

According to a Facebook post by Blue Ox, attendees who complete the course will receive 13 hours of RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Level 3 credit. RVTIs technician training program is widely regarded as the “industry’s gold standard,” developed through decades of experience and in collaboration with leading RV manufacturers and suppliers to provide the most current and comprehensive education available for technicians.

“With 72 million Americans planning to take an RV trip in the next year, there’s more demand and opportunity for skilled RV technicians than ever before,” RVIA states.

The 2025 OxSmart training curriculum focuses on several key areas of towing, including 5th wheel hitches, flat towing setups, supplemental braking systems, and weight distribution.

The Nebraska-based manufacturer is recognized for its extensive towing product line, which includes tow bars, baseplates, sway control devices, and hitches. The company has supplied both recreational and commercial towing markets since its founding in 1925.

“With our foundations deeply rooted in customer service, we pride ourselves on listening to our customer’s wants and needs, making their expectations paramount in the design and use of the entire Blue Ox product line,” the company’s website indicates.

The company’s products are commonly seen on highways and in campgrounds, where RVers rely on towing systems to ensure safe and efficient travel. Blue Ox has described its equipment as designed to make towing easier, helping drivers remain focused on the road.

“With a product and accessory line as diverse as our customer base Blue Ox has everything to meet your recreational or commercial needs,” the company adds.
