Proposed Glamping Site on Beaver Lake Approved in Benton County

In Benton County, Arkansas, the planning board approved the establishment of a 200-acre glamping site on Beaver Lake, according to a 40/29 News report. The site, named Contentment on Beaver Lake, is located on Shockley Place Road.

The approved plans for Contentment on Beaver Lake detail a project featuring 40 glamping tents and 12 covered wagons, offering outdoor enthusiasts more options.

This approval comes after an initial setback in 2022 when the project proposal was denied by the board. The recent green light, however, is conditional, needing the approval of the fire marshal.

In addition to these accommodations, the site is set to include a range of amenities aimed at enhancing the guest experience. Among these are a swimming pool and a spa. The inclusion of pickleball courts further broadens the recreational activities available to guests.

The glamping site’s prime location, less than two miles across Beaver Lake from Hickory Creek Park (though a 30-mile drive), positions it as an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests will have easy access to a range of activities, from hiking and biking to fishing and water sports, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the natural splendor of the area.
