Nature’s Market and RV Park Celebrates Grand Opening in Southside

A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce marked the grand opening of Nature’s Market and RV Park on November 14. The facility, located at 897 Batesville Blvd., features a newly renovated grocery store offering local, and organic food options alongside a 59-lot RV park with modern amenities.

The opening ceremony was attended by ambassadors representing local businesses, schools, and organizations.

The RV park is designed to serve both short-term travelers and long-term RV residents, featuring full hookups, renovated bathrooms, laundry facilities, a gym, and one of the area’s few propane filling stations.

According to the chamber, the park’s onsite store ensures convenient access to daily necessities, making it a location for visitors exploring Independence County.

Additional RV park amenities include RV parts, a dump station, propane refills, and a self-serve ice and reverse osmosis water machine. Milus Hughey, general manager of Nature’s Market and RV Park, expressed hope about the park. “We hope this park becomes a hub for visitors exploring Independence County,” Hughey said, as reported by White River Now.

Hughey also thanked the community for its support. “This team is here to help with everything from preparing your next catering order to educating you on our microgreens and their benefits, whipping up a delicious sandwich for lunch, keeping the park running smoothly, or helping carry out your groceries. We are excited to make this vision a reality for our community,” he said.

Adjacent to the RV park, Nature’s Market provides a range of preservative-free and organic products, including fruits, vegetables, pantry staples, locally sourced meats, and a deli. It also boasts onsite-grown microgreens and a blend of traditional and contemporary candy selections.

The grocery store has partnered with Walnut Creek, an Amish company known for its preservative-free and affordable offerings, aiming to offer an alternative to larger corporations. “Our goal is to offer quality items that reflect seasonal flavors while meeting the needs of our community,” said

Nature’s Market is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
