Expion360 Inc. has formed a partnership with Alaskan Campers, integrating advanced lithium battery technology into the RV industry according to a press release. Expion360’s 12.8-volt GC2 battery with 162-amp-hour capacity and internal heating will now be a standard feature across all of Alaskan Campers’ truck camper product lines, with an option to expand the system with two additional GC2 batteries.
Brian Schaffner, Chief Executive Officer of Expion360, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Alaskan Campers, a brand that embodies the spirit of adventure and innovation. By integrating our 12.8-volt GC2 162-amp-hour VHC internally heated battery as a standard feature, we are providing Alaskan Campers’ customers with one of our most reliable and efficient power solutions. This partnership highlights our commitment to enhancing the outdoor experience for all adventurers.”
Rob Scheele, Principal and Chief Executive Officer at Alaskan Campers, added, “Alaskan Campers is delighted to partner with Expion360, a company renowned for designing best-in-class lithium battery solutions across industries. This partnership enables us to integrate state-of-the-art power systems into our campers, further enhancing the experience for our customers.”
Alaskan Campers, known for their unique hard-sided, pop-up truck campers, will incorporate Expion360’s battery technology into their products. The partnership represents a move for both companies to expand their market presence and meet the growing demand for advanced, sustainable power options in the RV sector.
Expion360’s battery offers improved performance in low temperatures, addressing a common challenge for RV enthusiasts in colder climates. This feature could extend RV usability in harsh weather conditions, potentially opening up new markets and extending camping seasons for outdoor enthusiasts.
The RV industry has been shifting towards more technologically advanced and sustainable solutions, with lithium batteries gaining popularity due to their superior energy density, faster charging, and enhanced performance in extreme temperatures. The expandability of the power system to include additional GC2 batteries offers flexibility for users with higher power requirements, serving as a key selling point for both companies.
