The Venue at Chesnut Bay has officially opened at Chesnut Bay Resort in Cherokee County (Alabama), expanding the property’s offerings with a dedicated space for celebrations and gatherings.
The facility was introduced during a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 24.
The addition provides a new option for weddings, reunions, corporate events, and holiday parties in the region. The event welcomes groups, positioning the resort as a year-round hub not only for lodging and recreation but also for special occasions.
Owner Rob Brown said the idea behind The Venue was to complement existing resort amenities, which include Pirate’s Bay water park, campgrounds, a lakeside beach, and rental cabins.
“Our staff loves what they do,” he said, as reported by Weis Radio. “They’re focused on making every guest feel at home and part of the family.”
During the opening, attendees were offered coffee and doughnuts before being guided through the facility. The tour highlighted features designed to appeal to both local residents and destination visitors.
The venue provides comfortable seating for 90 guests with the ability to expand to 120. The layout allows for flexibility, making it suitable for different types of events and configurations.
A fully equipped kitchen is part of the design, enabling catering for gatherings.
Future additions include an outdoor kitchen and grill station on the balcony, alongside a gas fireplace to create more space for groups to move between indoor and outdoor settings.
Brown extended an open invitation to the community and future guests, encouraging them to experience the new facility firsthand, saying, “Come see it for yourself—we’d love to host your next big event.”
With its natural setting on the lake, the facility brings together the appeal of outdoor recreation with modern amenities for group gatherings.
