Deer Creek RV Park: A New Stopover for RV Enthusiasts in Creola

The family-owned Deer Creek RV Park recently opened in Creola, Alabama, offering travelers a convenient stopover. Owners Jim and Gloria Trawick, along with their sons Mark and Justin, have created an RV park designed to meet the needs of RV enthusiasts traveling in the Gulf Coast region.

In an exclusive interview with Modern Campground, Trawick emphasized the RV park’s accessible location for outdoor enthusiasts. Located at 364 Radcliff Road, Deer Creek RV Park is positioned just off I-65 at exit 19, providing easy access to nearby local attractions.

Guests traveling through the area will find the RV park a quick and convenient stop, whether for a short stay or an extended visit. The park’s proximity to a gas station with big rig access and a Dollar General across the street ensures guests have all the essentials.

Another aspect of the park is the amenities. Deer Creek RV Park showcases large sites with spacious grassy areas, catering to both back-in and pull-through RVs.

“We have a beautiful bathhouse surrounded by flowers. Our street lighting offers a unique ambiance for nighttime walks with plenty of star-gazing areas. We have a dog park for our furry friends and whippoorwills singing at night,” Trawick told Modern Campground.

Deer Creek RV Park also offers facilities to meet the needs of modern RV travelers. They can choose from 30-amp or 50-amp electrical service, with stable gravel pads and full hook-up available at all sites.

Other amenities include WiFi, picnic tables, and a gated entry. Additionally, the RV park features pet-friendly policies. The dog park provides a safe and enjoyable space for pets to exercise and socialize.

Beyond the amenities, guests at Deer Creek RV Park can also explore various local attractions and activities.

The Mobile area, rich in history and culture, provides visitors the opportunity to visit landmarks such as the USS Alabama, Bellingrath Gardens, and Dauphin Island. The downtown Mobile area, with its state parks and museums, provides ample opportunities for exploration.

According to Trawick, the construction of Deer Creek RV Park took 19 months. The Trawick family, experienced campers themselves, paid great attention to detail, incorporating features they appreciated from other RV parks.

As a new RV park, Deer Creek plans to develop further. The owners are focused on continuous improvement and plan to add more privacy fencing and a laundry facility.

“We plan to add a small playground in the future. We have an additional 4.5 acres that we are looking at to make walking trails through the wooded area,” Trawick said.
