Velarium, an Airxcel brand, announced the Velocity Switch, designed to deploy and retract awnings at nearly double the speed of standard switches. Utilizing proprietary technology, the Velocity Switch enhances the speed and efficiency of awning.
The Velocity Switch integrates soft-start technology, which gently starts the awning motor, thereby extending its lifespan. This feature is particularly beneficial for RV owners who seek to maximize their outdoor enjoyment with minimal hassle.
Velarium’s Velocity Switch offers an easy-to-install upgrade compatible with a wide range of existing 12V-powered vertical arm awning brands.
Jeff Cowan, the business unit manager for Velarium, mentioned that the Velocity Switch was developed with both customers and dealers in mind.
“Our customers have expressed a desire to maximize their outdoor enjoyment with minimal hassle. This upgrade significantly enhances the user experience by halving the time required to deploy or retract an RV’s awning, thereby not only mitigating the risk of wind damage but also allowing for more leisure time. It’s a simple yet impactful enhancement that our dealers can easily integrate into existing systems,” Cowan explained.
According to a press release, Velarium, established in 2022 as part of the Airxcel family, is built on “the legacy and foundation of Airxcel’s commitment to provide quality products to the RV industry.”
In addition to the introduction of the Velocity Switch for vertical arm awnings, Cleer Vision Tempered Glass, an Airxcel brand, announced the installation of a new high-capacity digital printer at its Elkhart, Indiana facility. Set to begin production this month, this new technology will allow Cleer Vision to boost its output and more efficiently meet the demands of its customers.
