Twin Lakes Camp Resort Wins Florida Best Park Award for Second Time in Three Years

Twin Lakes Camp Resort has been recognized with a Best Park Award by the Florida RV Park and Campground Association, marking the second time in three years the resort has received this distinction.

The park was honored in the small park category, which includes parks with 50 to 150 campsites.

The award was announced on May 8 during the Florida and Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo, held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.

The event brought together industry professionals from across the region to celebrate achievements and discuss trends in outdoor hospitality.

According to the Florida RV Park and Campground Association, which represents over 500 campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts across the state, the Best Park Awards are determined by an independent panel of judges.

The awards are given based on a range of criteria, including overall park maintenance, guest satisfaction, quality of facilities and amenities, customer service, and the implementation of innovations or recent improvements.

“Our intent with these awards is to recognize the single best park in each category, as determined by our independent panel of judges,” said Bobby Cornwell, executive director and CEO of the Florida RV Park and Campground Association.

“The fact that Twin Lakes has received this award twice in three years is testament to the hard work that park co-owner Pat O’Neill and his family are making to ensure that their resort is one of the best in Florida.”

Pat and Heather O’Neill acquired the park in 2013 and have worked alongside their five children to develop the resort into a full-service destination for RVers and glamping enthusiasts.

Located on King Lake and Holley Lakes, the 65-site park offers full hookup RV sites, luxury cabin suites, glamping tents, tiny homes, and lake houses. The property also features 12 docks and spans 550 acres of water.

Guests can access amenities such as pontoon boat and kayak rentals, an activity center, a solar-heated pool, and a boutique store. Additional features include furnished glamping tents with king-size beds, kitchenettes, and full bathrooms, aiming to provide a blend of comfort and outdoor appeal.

The Florida RV Park and Campground Association promotes privately owned parks across the state through its website CampFlorida.com and also distributes a printed camping guide.
