Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced that Spring Grove KOA Journey has joined its network of more than 500 open-to-the-public campgrounds across the United States and Canada.
The newly added campground, located in southeastern Minnesota, is owned by Travel Resorts of America, which also operates three other KOA locations.
According to a press release, nestled in Minnesota’s bluff country, the Spring Grove KOA Journey offers a scenic retreat surrounded by wooded hills and the winding Riceford Creek. The creek provides access to trout fishing, while the campground includes more than four miles of hiking trails, an outdoor heated pool, and a mini-golf course.
“KOA has such a loyal following of guests, and we are thrilled to expand our presence in this trusted network of campgrounds,” said Steve Baldelli, owner of Spring Grove KOA Journey. “We look forward to welcoming campers to this new location, helping them create lasting memories in the great outdoors.”
KOA’s 2024 Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report found that campers contributed $61 billion to local economies last year, spending an average of $200 per day during their trips. The report also indicated that 27% of campers expressed interest in visiting small towns, while another 27% were drawn to food tourism.
As part of the KOA Journey brand, the Spring Grove location is designed for convenient access to and from major travel routes. The property features long pull-thru RV sites, after-hours check-in, and a wide selection of RV supplies, catering to road-trippers and overnight guests.
Amenities include a playground, volleyball and horseshoe courts, a KampK9 dog park, and a camp store offering both essentials and local goods.
The site also provides laundry facilities, showers, and nightly bonfires for guests seeking relaxation and recreation.
The Spring Grove KOA Journey will operate seasonally from May 1 to October 5.
