Sky Lodge: These Hanging Pods Are Not for the Faint of Heart

Looking for a unique glamping experience in 2023? These transparent luxury capsules that hang from the top of a mountain in the Sacred Valley, Peru, are perfect for all the daredevils out there.

The breathtaking view from the luxury accommodation is not without a little adventure. According to Nature Vive’s website, guests have to climb 400 meters of Via Ferrata or hike an intrepid trail through ziplines.

The Skylodge Adventure Suites in the Sacred Valley of Cuzco, Peru, offers guests a one-of-a-kind experience with transparent hanging bedrooms that provide breathtaking views of the mystic valley. The unique glamping experience allows visitors to fully take in the beauty of the surrounding area.

“The Natura Vive Skylodge is composed of three exclusive capsule suites with a total capacity of eight people. Our vertically hanging transparent capsule suites are situated at the top of our 1200 ft mountain with a 300-degree view of the majestic Sacred Valley. Hand crafted out of aerospace aluminum and weather-resistant polycarbonate, each suite comes complete with four beds, a dining area, and a private bathroom,” the website post indicated.

The Skylodge Adventure Suites feature capsule-like rooms that measure 24 feet in length, and 8 feet in height and width. Each suite is equipped with six windows and four ventilation ducts that provide optimal comfort. 

The suites are designed to provide guests with top-notch service and maximum comfort. The rooms feature an alternative lighting system that uses solar panels to store energy in batteries.

The suites also come with a private bathroom separated from the bedroom by an insulated wall, a dry ecological toilet, and a sink, allowing you to take in the views through the dome, which is 1.8 meters in diameter and has curtains for privacy.

Guests can look forward to a restful sleep while resting on fine-quality mattresses, cotton sheets, down pillows, and quilts, 400 meters above ground level.

According to its Facebook page, Skylodge Adventure Suites, located 400 meters over Inca’s Sacred Valley, is the first hanging lodge in the world.
