The RV Technical Institute (RVTI), in partnership with Truma, will host an advanced training session on Monday, Sept. 15, focusing on the Truma AquaGo on-demand water heater and the Truma Combi 2-in-1 furnace and water heater.

The session will be held at the RVTI’s training facility in Elkhart, Indiana, and is open to technicians who hold a Level 2 certification or higher.

Registration for the September course opened Aug. 4.

Participants who complete the training will earn eight hours of credit toward the RVTI’s Level 3 Appliance Specialist certification. That certification covers furnaces, instantaneous water heaters, and hydronic or combination units.

Truma will provide a certificate of completion, which can be used as part of the Level 3 Appliance application through RVTI. The free course is designed to help technicians advance their skills with specialized equipment found in many RVs.

Additional courses are scheduled for Oct. 27 and Dec. 15. Registration for the October course opens Sept. 15, while registration for the December course opens Nov. 3.

The advanced training is part of a broader effort by RVTI and its industry partners to expand technician education and improve service quality across the RV sector.

“Offering this course is another way that the RV Technical Institute and its partners, including Truma, are working to elevate technician training and, ultimately, improve the RVing experience,” the announcement indicates in a News and Insights report of RVIA on August 7.

To qualify, attendees must meet the Level 2 certification requirement before registering. Failing to meet this prerequisite will result in automatic forfeiture of registration.

According to RVTI, with millions of Americans planning an RV trip in the coming year, the demand for skilled RV technicians continues to rise. RVTI offers hands-on training and instruction designed to provide the knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in this growing field.

Graduates are prepared for careers with RV manufacturers, dealerships, and repair shops nationwide, meeting the industry’s increasing need for qualified service professionals.

Recognized as the gold standard in RV technician education, RVTI’s program was developed through decades of industry expertise in collaboration with leading RV manufacturers and suppliers.

The curriculum delivers the most current and comprehensive training available, ensuring technicians are equipped to work on the latest RV systems and technologies.
