The RVDA of Canada has announced the recipients of the 2024–2025 NTP-Stag Canada RV Technician and Fixed Operations Personnel Bursaries, highlighting support for professional development in the country’s recreational vehicle industry.
The announcement was made as part of an ongoing effort to address workforce development needs across RV dealerships and service centers nationwide.
Funded by NTP-Stag Canada, a major distributor of RV parts and accessories, the bursary program offers financial assistance to individuals enrolled in RV technician and fixed operations training programs.
Since the initiative began in 2017, NTP-Stag has contributed CA$103,500 to support aspiring and current RV service professionals.
This year marked the launch of an expanded bursary structure. The updated program awarded one CA$5,000 bursary to an outstanding technician apprentice, nine CA$1,000 bursaries to RV service technicians in training, and several CA$500 bursaries to fixed operations staff who completed approved industry courses.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with NTP-Stag to help support the next generation of RV professionals,” Eleonore Hamm, president of RVDA of Canada, said in a press release.
“This expanded bursary program is a meaningful investment in the individuals who will shape the future of our industry,” Hamm added.
The top bursary recipient for 2024–2025 is Alex Barter of Snowy Peaks RV in Fernie, British Columbia. Barter received the CA$5,000 award in recognition of his dedication to becoming a journeyperson RV technician.
“Thank you to NTP-Stag for the generous CA$5,000 bursary,” said Barter. “The support means a lot as I take the next step in my career… and continue to grow in the field.”
Snowy Peaks RV owner Deanna Hill expressed appreciation for the support: “We really appreciate the support that NTP-Stag and the RVDA have shown our apprentices and ourselves—so thank you so much!
The full list of recipients includes individuals from Keith’s Trailer Sales, Fraserway RV, Arrkann Trailer & RV Centre, Voyager RV, SMP RV, Woody’s RV World, CanaDream, Trademasters, Traveland Martinsville, Country Camping Leisure Products, and CanAm RV.
“RVDA of Canada extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the bursary recipients. Their commitment to learning and delivering excellent service is inspiring. These individuals represent the future of the Canadian RV industry—and that future looks very bright,” the press release indicates.
