The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) participated in the Association for Career and Technical Education’s Region 5 Conference, held May 1–3 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of its nationwide recruitment effort to promote careers as RV technicians.
The event gathered career and technical education (CTE) professionals from Region 5, which includes North Dakota, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, South Dakota, Oregon, Nevada, Nebraska, Alaska, Montana, Kansas, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona, California, Hawaii and Guam.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on May 8, the Association for Career and Technical Education is the largest national education association dedicated to advancing education that prepares students and adults for careers in technical fields. Its mission is to provide leadership in developing a skilled, adaptable and competitive workforce.
The institute also recently attended the ACTE Region 4 Conference in Oklahoma City in late April, targeting CTE professionals in a different geographic region with the same objective.
“The Association for Career and Technical Education Conferences provided excellent opportunities to engage with individuals interested in the RV technician career and our program,” said Halle Howard, the RV Technical Institute’s account specialist.
“We’ve received encouraging interest at the last two events, including from those already aware of our field,” Howard said.
“We are always happy to share information about our curriculum, and we look forward to continued connection with potential future RV technicians at the next Association for Career and Technical Education conferences later this year,” Howard added.
