Rivers & Rockies Outdoor Lodging Council will host a series of regional gatherings this fall for campground and outdoor lodging operators, beginning with its first session in Nebraska on Sept. 25.
The events are designed to give owners and managers a forum to share experiences from the summer season and to learn from peers across the industry.
The Nebraska meeting is scheduled at Double Nickel Campground in Waco, where attendees will gather for operational discussions and peer exchange.
Light snacks and beverages will be available, and Rivers & Rockies will provide a short orientation for participants, many of whom are expected to be non-members.
According to the organization, the series is intended to foster networking and professional support within the outdoor lodging sector.
“Past attendees have expressed gaining enjoyment, rejuvenation, learning, and excitement from the camaraderie that’s created,” Rivers & Rockies noted in its event announcement.
Membership is not required to attend, though the group uses the opportunity to introduce its programs and member benefits.
“During each event, we’ll provide an overview of who we are and the new benefits this autumn, while most of the event will be driven by the attendees,” organizers stated.
Following Nebraska, the council will hold its next session on Sept. 29 at the Arapaho County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colorado.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until around 7 p.m., with a dinner and networking event scheduled at a nearby restaurant that evening.
Snacks and beverages will be offered during the day, with dinner included in the registration fee. Alcoholic beverages will not be covered. Registration costs $125 for the first attendee from a property and $100 for each additional participant.
The Colorado event will coincide with setup for the Glamping Show Americas, which takes place at the fairgrounds immediately after the Rivers & Rockies program. Attendees will be able to attend the expo at no additional charge with a coupon code provided after registration.
South Dakota will also host the final gathering on Oct. 14-15 at the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sessions will run from 1 to 8 p.m. on the first day and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second. A group dinner is planned for the first evening, and a catered lunch will be provided on the second day.
As with the Colorado session, registration in South Dakota will be $125 for the first attendee and $100 for each additional representative from the same property.
