Selected for the honor from dozens of submissions, the campground was recognized for its unique Deluxe Cabins that offer decks with water views and premium comforts.
A representative from TACO noted that the Port Lavaca/Matagorda Bay KOA Holiday rose to the top as the most comfortable and inviting accommodations of the entrants. The uniqueness of the campground’s Deluxe Cabins, some of which feature raised, second-story decks also stood out. Criteria for TACO’s Small Accommodations of the Year include furnishings, kitchen and bathroom set-up, sleeping accommodations, and overall park setting.
