Moms are celebrated with special activities at Jellystone Park Camp-Resort locations during Mother’s Day weekend.
“Almost all of our franchisees do something special for mom on Mother’s Day,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, which franchises more than 75 Jellystone Park locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Activities involve everything from special crafts and pajama dance parties to “Moms Only” painting activities. Here’s a sampling of some of the Mother’s Day weekend activities planned at Jellystone Park locations across the U.S. and Canada:
Bloomington, Indiana: Guests at this location are encouraged to wear their PJs for a dance party on Saturday night. The location will also hire a professional photographer on Sunday and provide moms with a free family portrait.
Caledonia, Wisconsin: This location will celebrate Cinco de Mayo in combination with Mother’s Day. Guests can make mom a maraca for Mother’s Day, enjoy a Mexican hat dance and a human cactus relay ring toss, and play Spanish-style musical dots.
Chincoteague Island, Virginia: This location’s Mother’s Day activities include wine glass painting, crafts, bingo and muffins with mom.
Eureka, Missouri: Mother’s Day weekend at this location includes a mini Mardi Gras parade and a free pancake breakfast for moms on Sunday morning.
South Haven, Michigan: Moms who visit this location on Mother’s Day weekend can enjoy a wine and canvas painting activity and a traveling spa. Guests will also have an opportunity to send mom a Mother’s Day “Bear Gram.”
Harrisville, Pennsylvania: Mother’s Day weekend activities at this location include a vendor show, a “Moms Only” craft party, and a “World’s Best Mom” certificate craft.
Larkspur, Colorado: This location’s Mother’s Day weekend activities include planting flowers, a mother-child look-alike contest, a silly selfie with mom scavenger hunt, and tea and cookies with mom on Mother’s Day.
Madison, Maine: This location will celebrate Mother’s Day with a weekend-long pajama party and a paint party for moms.
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin: This location is planning an entire Mother’s Day Kindness Week from May 6-11. Activities include making mom a salt dough handprint ornament and a special Mother’s Day card. Guests can also sign up to have Yogi Bear deliver breakfast in bed to mom. Other activities include “mommy and me yoga” and sing-a-long karaoke.
