Mandai Wildlife Reserve to Open Colugo Camp Safari-Style Site in Q3 2025

Mandai Wildlife Reserve is expanding its accommodation offerings with the introduction of Colugo Camp, a new overnight campsite scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2025.

The development accompanies the upcoming Mandai Rainforest Resort, reflecting the Reserve’s continued efforts to enhance visitor engagement through diverse lodging options.

Colugo Camp will be the first of two planned campsites at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve and is designed to provide guests with a close-to-nature experience.

The site will feature 20 safari-style tents, each outfitted with air-conditioning, a queen-sized bed, bunk beds, free Wi-Fi, and a private patio.

According to a report by TimeOut, these amenities are intended to accommodate up to four people per tent and cater especially to families seeking a comfortable, nature-based retreat.

The campsite will offer communal facilities, including shared bathrooms and a dining hall. In addition to the overnight stay, guests will receive meals and participate in guided tours of the wildlife parks, allowing for a comprehensive experience within the Reserve.

While bookings are not yet open, Mandai Wildlife Reserve is currently accepting expressions of interest through its website. The group has not yet announced the opening date for the second planned campsite.

The launch of Colugo Camp highlights a growing trend in outdoor hospitality, where traditional camping concepts are being enhanced with added comfort and access to curated experiences.

For business owners in the glamping, RV, and outdoor accommodation sectors, the development underscores increasing consumer demand for hybrid models that combine nature immersion with modern amenities.

This move could serve as a case study for operators seeking to expand or diversify their offerings.

Incorporating features like climate control, family-friendly sleeping arrangements, and included activities may help attract broader customer segments, including families and urban travelers seeking nature-based getaways without sacrificing convenience.

As the outdoor hospitality industry continues to evolve, developments like Colugo Camp reflect a strategic blend of conservation, recreation, and comfort that could influence future design and service approaches across the sector.
