Kampgrounds of America (KOA) has announced new ownership at the Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday, marking a strategic acquisition by Blue Metric Group, LLC.
The purchase was led by CEO John Cascarano, whose company is expanding its footprint in Montana’s outdoor hospitality sector.
Cascarano brings experience in hospitality and destination development to the award-winning campground, located above Flathead Lake in Polson, Montana.
Blue Metric Group also owns Montana RV Resort near Polson and Moose Creek RV Resort and Bed & Breakfast near Glacier National Park.
The Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday is known for its panoramic views, full-service RV sites, and access to outdoor attractions such as Glacier National Park and the National Bison Range.
The site offers pull-through RV spaces, deluxe cabins, and a range of family-friendly amenities including a heated pool, hot tub, and mini golf course.

Campgrounds play a growing role in local economies and tourism. According to a press release, KOA’s 2024 Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report noted campers contributed $61 billion to local economies last year, with the average camper spending $200 daily.
KOA Holiday properties are positioned as ideal base camps for regional exploration. The Polson/Flathead Lake location supports this model, offering proximity to Kalispell, Missoula, and Glacier National Park, while serving as a gateway to cultural sites tied to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
The campground is one of over 500 open-to-the-public KOA locations across the U.S. and Canada. Other KOA brands include KOA Journey, which offers quick-stop convenience for travelers, and KOA Resort, which provides enhanced amenities such as on-site dining and planned activities.
Located at 200 Irvine Flats Road, the Polson/Flathead Lake KOA Holiday operates seasonally from April 15 to October 15.
