KOA Announces New Ownership for Muskegon KOA Holiday Under Prichard, Blotske

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced that Fred Prichard and Chet Blotske of BP Property Holdings have acquired the Muskegon KOA Holiday in Michigan.

The acquisition adds to their growing portfolio of KOA campgrounds and strengthens KOA’s presence in the region.

Prichard, who also serves as a KOA franchise business coach, and Blotske bring extensive experience in outdoor hospitality and real estate.

The duo also owns the Trinity Lake KOA Holiday in California, which earned KOA’s Icon Award for ranking in the top 10% of KOA campgrounds.

Located on 65 acres between Whitehall and Muskegon, the Muskegon KOA Holiday provides a lakeside setting surrounded by woodlands and is just 10 minutes from Michigan’s Adventure amusement park.

The campground offers access to two private lakes and a variety of outdoor activities for families, anglers and travelers.

“We are excited about Muskegon,” Prichard said in a press release. “This area is one we’ve considered for a long time with its white-sand beaches, incredible museums and breweries, and fun experiences for the entire family. We love that we can help introduce KOA to this vital market, and we can’t wait to contribute to the local community.”

The Muskegon KOA Holiday also features the elevated amenities and guest services KOA Holiday campgrounds are known for. Guests can enjoy full-service RV Sites with KOA patios, deluxe cabins with full bathrooms, and traditional tent camping.

Recreational features include two private lakes for fishing and paddling, a sandy beach with lake access, a jumping pillow, gaga ball, hiking trails, and rental options for kayaks, canoes and paddleboats. A Mining Sluice activity adds to the family-friendly offerings.

Future enhancements to the campground include a KampK9 Dog Park and KOA Patio Sites to expand amenities for visitors and their pets. The campground’s variety of accommodations and activities is designed to appeal to a wide range of outdoor travelers seeking relaxation and recreation.

The Muskegon KOA Holiday will also participate in KOA’s Care Camps Big Weekend on May 9-10. As part of the event, the campground will donate 50% of the site’s second-night camping fees to the Care Camps Foundation to support children with cancer and their families.

Located at 3500 Strand Road in Muskegon, the campground operates from May 1 through October 13.
