Registration is open for the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) and Truma’s advanced training session, scheduled for June 16 at the RVTI in Elkhart, Indiana.
The free, eight-hour course will cover the Truma AquaGo on-demand water heater and the Truma Combi 2-in-1 furnace and water heater.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, participants can earn eight hours of credit toward the RVTI’s Level 3 Appliance Specialist certification, which includes furnaces, instantaneous water heaters, and hydronic and combination units.
A certificate of completion provided by Truma can be used as part of the RVTI Level 3 Appliance application.
Registration for each session opens six weeks before the course date. The first course launched in February, and four have taken place since then.
Remaining course dates for 2025 include June 16, July 7, August 25, September 15, October 27, and December 15.
Registration dates are May 5 for the June 16 course, May 26 for July 7, July 14 for August 25, August 4 for September 15, September 15 for October 27, and November 3 for December 15.
By offering this course, the institute and partners like Truma are further investing in enhanced technician training, with the goal of improving the RVing experience.
To attend, technicians must be certified as an RVTI Level 2 technician or higher. Registrations from those who do not meet this requirement will be automatically forfeited.
Up to 20 individuals may attend each training session.
The Level 2 prerequisite also allows technical knowledge to be delivered at a higher level, enhancing productivity and outcomes.
