Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts across the United States and Canada are preparing for Father’s Day weekend with a lineup of themed activities designed to help families celebrate Dad.
Scheduled for the weekend of June 14 to 16, the events will take place at more than 75 franchise locations and feature contests, games, cook-offs, and bonding experiences aimed at creating lasting memories.
“Some locations have ‘Daddy and Me’ look-alike contests and Dad joke contests. Others have family relay races and obstacle course challenges. Every location is coming up with fun activities to make Father’s Day weekend memorable,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, which franchises the Jellystone Park brand.
Each Jellystone Park location plans its own programming, reflecting the brand’s broader emphasis on family fun.
From laser tag and fishing tournaments to mini golf and relay races, the events are designed to promote engagement between fathers and children while drawing visitors to the parks during a peak travel season.
In Colorado, for example, the Estes Park location will offer a “Dad-versus-Dad” laser tag challenge and a card-making craft, while in Larkspur, campers can compete in cornhole and mini golf tournaments alongside their fathers.
Illinois’ Pittsfield location will host a fishing derby.
At the Knightstown park in Indiana, guests can participate in a “Daddy and Me Look-Alike” contest and a fishing tournament.
Monticello, Iowa, will hold a smoked foods cook-off, while Madison, Maine, plans a barbecue cook-off and late checkout for Father’s Day guests.
Michigan locations are also offering a range of events, including cornhole tournaments, themed games, and a week of slime-related activities in Grayling.
South Haven guests can expect team challenges such as tug-of-war and water balloon tosses, while Carsonville will offer multiple competitions including fishing and bucket golf.
Additional highlights include a “Dad Joke Battle” and obstacle course in Endicott, New York; a “Copycat Dress Like Dad” contest and scavenger hunt in Burleson, Texas; and a root beer-chugging competition in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Virginia’s Chincoteague location will host a father-daughter dance, while Wisconsin Dells features weeklong athletic games and a Wisconsin cheese social.
Camp Jellystone, based in Southfield, Michigan, operates in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and licenses its Yogi Bear-themed resorts across North America.
Its attractions typically include pools, water slides, foam parties, wagon rides, and character interactions.
