Green River KOA Journey in Utah has launched the 2025 camping season with a series of upgrades aimed at enhancing the guest experience while maintaining its appeal to travelers exploring the region’s national parks.
Located at 235 S. 1780 E. in Green River, the campground is positioned as a strategic stopover for visitors to Arches, Canyonlands, and other parts of southern Utah.
According to a press release, the most prominent addition is a newly constructed bathhouse built with premium materials.
Each self-contained unit includes a private shower and full restroom amenities. The restrooms feature modern tile and a clean aesthetic. According to KOA, the facility provides a “welcoming, clean space to refresh and recharge” for road-weary and trail-worn guests.
To support the increasing number of van travelers, the campground added eight adventure van sites. These purpose-built spots feature 30/20 amp electric service, water hookups, and turf pads. The compact design offers essential amenities while remaining budget-friendly for mobility-focused campers.
Additional improvements across the property aim to modernize and brighten communal spaces. The campground office and laundry room received updated paint, lighting, and interior finishes, creating more functional areas for daily use.
Landscaping enhancements included the removal of overgrown vegetation and the addition of new greenery to highlight the site’s natural setting.
In addition to the new van sites, Green River KOA Journey now offers 22 premium RV sites with concrete patios, four KOA Patio Sites, and a Deluxe Cabin. These options provide guests with enhanced outdoor living space and greater comfort during their stay.
The campground’s leadership remains consistent with returning resort managers overseeing the 2025 season. A new Workamping couple has joined the team to support maintenance and guest services, alongside returning seasonal staff who contribute to daily operations.
The Green River KOA Journey operates year-round and belongs to the KOA Journey brand, which focuses on convenient amenities for overnight guests and travelers passing through. The recent upgrades align with the brand’s goal of offering reliable and comfortable camping experiences across the KOA system.
The enhancements come at a time when camping continues to serve as a strong driver of tourism and local economic activity. According to KOA’s 2024 Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers contributed $61 billion to local economies last year, with the average camper spending $200 per day while camping.
