The County of Grande Prairie’s campgrounds officially reopened for the 2025 season on Thursday, May 15, ahead of the Victoria Day long weekend.
Visitors returning to Bear Lake and Hommy campgrounds will see new upgrades completed during the off-season.
“With several improvements completed over the off-season, visitors will notice some exciting changes at our campgrounds. These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing well-maintained, welcoming spaces where people can relax, connect with nature, and enjoy quality time outdoors,” Christine Rawlins, director of recreation and culture, said, as reported by EverythingGP on May 14.
