Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer Gilbert Brown will host a free youth football camp on Sunday, July 20, at Champions Riverside Resort, welcoming kids ages 6 to 18 for a day focused on football drills, teamwork, and life skills.

The event, which begins at 9 a.m., is part of Brown’s ongoing commitment to youth development through the Gilbert Brown Foundation.

The foundation supports more than 150 children’s charities throughout Wisconsin. Participants will receive lunch, snacks, and the chance to play in a “Super Bowl” scrimmage game scheduled for 5 p.m.

“This camp is about more than football,” Brown said. “It’s about building character, learning to be part of a team, and inspiring kids to believe in themselves. I was blessed to have mentors growing up—and now I get to pay it forward. That’s what this is all about.”

The camp is hosted in partnership with the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners (WACO) and Champions Riverside Resort.

Online registration is free and open until Friday, July 18 at noon, with walk-in registration available the morning of the event starting at 8:30 a.m.

“We’re incredibly proud to host this camp again,” said Lori Severson, owner of Champions Riverside Resort and executive director of WACO.

“Gilbert and his team give so much to the kids and families in our state. This is one of the most inspiring days of the year at Champions,” Severson added.

Volunteers and sponsors are encouraged to sign up through the event’s online forms.

In addition to the football camp, Champions Riverside Resort has announced that another Packers legend, Donald Driver, will appear this fall during the resort’s annual Legends Weekend fundraiser.

Driver, also a Packers Hall of Famer, is scheduled to sign autographs on Sunday, October 12, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Meet and greet access is included with the purchase of an autograph package, which is available online. Attendance is open to the public, though a paid package is required for those wishing to meet Driver.

“This is a dream come true for fans,” said Severson. “Donald Driver is a Wisconsin icon and his energy is contagious. We can’t wait to welcome him to Champions for the very first time!”

Legends Weekend will feature interactive games, raffles, auctions, and the chance to win prizes such as Packers tickets and signed memorabilia. All proceeds from the event will go to The Gilbert Brown Foundation.

Fans attending the event will have opportunities to engage with several former Packers players while supporting charitable programs for children across Wisconsin.

According to a press release, campsites and rentals are booking quickly in anticipation of the October weekend. Reservations can be made by calling (608) 582-2995 or visiting championsriversideresort.com.
