Verendus Launches Mechanic App to Streamline Caravan and Motorhome Workshop Operations

Verendus, a Swedish software provider specializing in the leisure vehicle industry, has introduced a new mobile application aimed at improving workshop efficiency for caravan and motorhome dealers.

The app, launched in 2025, allows mechanics to manage work orders directly from their smartphones or tablets, integrating workshop operations into the company’s established digital ecosystem.

Since its founding in 2010, Verendus has developed a web-based dealer management system (DMS) tailored for the leisure vehicle sector, with clients across Europe, including caravan and motorhome dealers, as well as marine, motorcycle, snowmobile, and ATV retailers. 

The launch of the new mechanic app expands Verendus’ offering beyond sales and rental management into aftersales and service support, a key area of focus for dealerships looking to enhance operational performance.

“The workshop is a critical part of many dealerships, yet it’s often where digitalization lags behind,” said Henrik Gerdin, Chief Product Officer at Verendus.

“With this app, we’re giving mechanics a user-friendly tool that simplifies their day-to-day tasks and helps raise the overall quality of service.”

Developed in close collaboration with customers, the app includes practical tools such as digital clock-in and clock-out features, image and file uploads linked to specific jobs, comment and note fields, task completion markers, and parts registration. 

These functions are designed to reduce paperwork, streamline communication, and create a more transparent workflow between workshop staff and service managers.

“We always develop our products based on real-world feedback from our customers,” Gerdin added. 

“A mobile app for mechanics has been one of the most requested features for some time, and we’re proud to now deliver a solution that meets those needs. Our goal is to be a true technology partner – helping our customers move forward with digital tools that raise the standard across both sales and service. This app is a concrete example of that ambition.”

Ferda, one of Norway’s leading caravan and motorhome dealership groups, participated in the app’s pilot phase. 

According to Ferda CEO Leif Terje Hansen, the company plans to implement the app across all its locations. “The app is an important step towards making our workshop operations more efficient and profitable – something we place great value on,” said Hansen. 

“Together with other initiatives from Verendus, we see the mobile app helping us work smarter in the workshop. That’s why we’re planning to roll it out across all our locations, with the goal of making life easier for our workshop staff and ultimately delivering an even better experience for our customers.”
