A glamping pod known as The Beehive continues to attract visitors to the Yorkshire Wolds, offering year-round accommodations with a range of amenities designed for small groups and families.
Located on a ridge with views across the Vale of Pickering and toward the North Yorkshire Moors, the pod forms part of a three-unit setup alongside Pheasant Roost and The Vale View. The site received a Visit England Gold Award in April 2021.
The Beehive can sleep up to five guests and provides features typically sought by travelers seeking self-contained glamping experiences, including private facilities, heating, and cooking equipment.

The open-plan interior contains a double bed, bunk beds, and a sofa bed when required. A kitchenette offers a gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and utensils suitable for basic meal preparation.
The en-suite shower room includes hot water, towels, and toiletries, and the living area contains a Freeview television, WiFi, electric heating, USB charging points, and dimmable lighting.
Operators on the property provide underfloor heating throughout the unit, as well as an outdoor fire pit with the first set of logs included. Additional logs, charcoal, and fire packages are available for purchase.

A hot tub can be added for £90 per stay for bookings of up to three nights, or £35 per day for longer stays. Parking is located beside the meadow, and travel cots are available for hire. Two dogs are permitted for an additional fee.
The pod sits within walking distance of a shop and pub, and is positioned along the Wolds Way, a 79-mile trail running between Hessle and Filey Brigg. The route is frequently used by visitors in late spring and early autumn, with poppy fields drawing walkers in June and July.
The area also offers proximity to destinations such as Malton, known for the Malton Food Lovers Festival held annually, and coastal towns including Scarborough and Whitby, both within a 40-minute drive. North Yorkshire Water Park is around 25 minutes away.

For outdoor hospitality operators, the property reflects a wider regional trend in the UK glamping sector, where demand for self-contained pods with private facilities has remained consistent throughout recent seasons.
Amenities such as year-round availability, pet-friendly policies, private WCs, and optional add-ons like hot tubs continue to influence booking patterns. The Beehive’s layout and service model may offer insight for businesses considering upgrades or additions that enhance guest autonomy and extend seasonal operating capacity.
