Worfe Camping Pairs Rural Setting with Expanded Guest Amenities

Worfe Camping, a Greener Camping Club member, has announced its 2025 operating season, running from April 18 to September 30.

Located on a 48-acre working farm in rural Shropshire, the campsite emphasizes eco-friendly camping while offering access to walking and cycling routes as well as the surrounding countryside.

Each tent pitch overlooks the River Worfe and includes a designated fire pit with complimentary firewood. Pitches are also equipped with private amenities, including a warm shower, eco-toilet, picnic table, and awning.

In addition, two new “Express Pitches” are being introduced for 2025. These allow for one-night stays at £15 per person, with a maximum of four people per pitch.

Guests on these pitches will share flushing toilets, showers, and washing facilities, while fire pits are available at an additional fee of £10 per night.

The campsite’s policies are designed to maintain a balance between guest enjoyment, sustainability, and community standards.

Guests are encouraged to recycle, supervise fires responsibly, and observe quiet hours beginning at 10:30 p.m.

Amplified music is not permitted, though acoustic instruments are welcome if played with consideration for others. Site rules also restrict the use of fireworks, disposable barbecues, and Chinese lanterns due to fire and safety risks.

Local attractions accessible from the site include historic landmarks such as Ironbridge, RAF Museum Cosford, Blists Hill Victorian Town, and cultural sites like Tong Church and Wightwick Manor.

Outdoor recreation opportunities such as Shropshire Raft Tours, Severn Valley Railway, and nearby National Trust properties provide visitors with a variety of options to complement their camping stay.

For outdoor hospitality operators, Worfe Camping offers an example of how small-scale sites are adapting to meet changing guest needs while prioritizing sustainability and community integration.

The addition of short-stay pitches highlights a growing trend toward flexibility in booking options, catering to travelers seeking shorter getaways without committing to longer reservations. Such adaptations may be increasingly important for park owners responding to shifts in consumer behavior and demand for environmentally responsible travel experiences.
