West Sussex is experiencing a surge in interest for campervans and motorhomes, with new data from Out & About Live showing a 91.4% year-on-year increase in online searches for leisure vehicles across the region.
According to a news article by Sussex Express, the figures indicate a growing shift toward flexible, outdoor-focused travel and highlight the county as one of the fastest-growing areas in the UK for those looking to combine comfort, freedom, and family time with domestic holidays.
This enthusiasm will be on full display in May when Campervan Campout 2026 returns to the South of England Showground in West Sussex from May 1 to 3.
Now in its fourth year, the festival has become one of the UK’s largest gatherings of the camping and outdoor community, offering a mix of live music, wellness activities, workshops, family programming, and a showcase of campervans and motorhomes.
Festival-goers can look forward to headline performances including Marvin Humes with his Noughties Baby DJ set and international artist Ellie Sax, with additional acts yet to be announced.
Camping pitches for the event sold out quickly last year, making early booking highly recommended.
