UK Glamping Site Vows to Improve After Being Slammed by Disappointed Campers

A glamping site has promised to improve its service and compensates guests who complained that the experience they received was not up to par.

Cloud Nine Glamping’s Narford Hall site, close to Swaffham, was opened to campers on July 19.

Its website pledged that guests would enjoy the “ultimate glamping mini-break,” which included outdoor adventures for the whole family and pamper-yourself relaxation.

Just two weeks into its six-week-old run, however, the business was hit with a string of negative reviews. Some of the people who stayed there complained that the business “promised the world, but didn’t deliver.”

While the Norfolk site’s staff has received positive online comments, some complained about the lack of amenities, cancellations at short notice, and inadequate stock in the on-site shop.

One of the disappointed glampers was Rob Knights, a 42-year-old NHS worker from North Essex. Knights paid nearly PS1,000 for four nights at the site with his family in the last week of July.

He stated that while the tent was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, entertainment on the site didn’t live up to his expectations.

Mr. Knights stated that the site was fine. However, if you look at it, it seems like a festival vibe, but it did not meet this expectation. “It promised the world, but it failed to deliver.”

He also mentioned the site seeming to be “pretty well understaffed,” as well as having only two nights for children’s entertainment.

“We would return and give them another chance,” he said. We had time with our children, and it was a vacation for us. It was disappointing that the package wasn’t as advertised on its website. He said that he wouldn’t pay twice as much for the same service.

Cloud Nine Glamping spokesperson said that while there were some challenges during the opening week, which could have affected some guests and their holiday, this is not the standard of service Cloud Nine expects.

Cloud Nine is working to resolve the issues as a priority. They are in the process of reaching out to guests who have been affected.

“Guests can contact [email protected] regarding compensation.”
