Tan y Bryn Glamping, located just outside Llandudno in the North Wales village of Bryn Pydew, introduced new grass pitches for motorhomes and tourers as of July 7.
The expansion adds to the site’s existing mix of hard-standing touring pitches, glamping pods, and cedar lodges, broadening its offer to travelers seeking varied levels of comfort and amenities.
The new pitches, situated in a field opposite the main park, are non-electric and designed for visitors who prefer a more back-to-basics experience.

According to the park, these spaces allow guests to enjoy a “simpler” stay while still having access to on-site facilities such as the shower block, accessible wet room, and communal kitchen with a fridge and microwave.
The grass pitches also provide additional seclusion, appealing to couples, solo travelers, and families seeking privacy while remaining within reach of amenities.
Tan y Bryn has positioned itself as a five-star, adult-only site welcoming touring caravans, motorhomes, and glamping visitors.
Beyond the new grass pitches, the park continues to offer five premium hard-standing touring spaces, a super pitch with water and waste services, and glamping options ranging from pods with hot tubs to luxury cedar lodges with saunas and outdoor TVs.

Amenities include an accessible shower block, laundry and kitchen facilities, and a range of extras such as breakfast boxes and fire packages available for purchase.
The location provides access to a variety of attractions in North Wales, including the seaside town of Llandudno, the walled town of Conwy, and the wider Snowdonia region.
Local draws include the Great Orme tramway, Conwy Castle, coastal paths, and extensive cycling routes. The surrounding village of Bryn Pydew offers woodlands, viewpoints, and trails that connect the park to the wider landscape.

For outdoor hospitality operators, Tan y Bryn’s introduction of grass pitches highlights an ongoing diversification trend within the sector.
By offering both high-specification luxury pods and non-electric grass pitches, the park is targeting a wider customer base while balancing demand for both convenience and back-to-nature stays.
This approach reflects a broader industry shift where parks are blending premium amenities with more traditional, lower-impact options to cater to different segments of the market.
