Secret Meadows (United Kingdom) has been announced as the winner of the Camping, Glamping, Holiday Park, and Self Catering Accommodation of the Year award during the East of England Tourism Awards 2021-2022.
As per a report, Secret Meadows is located in a 100-acre nature reserve situated in Hasketon near Woodbridge, Suffolk.
Secret Meadows allows guests to re-discover nature and experience an escape to the countryside from the city life.
Managed by a wildlife charity, the eco-friendly ethos of the property is apparent through the use of eco-friendly items, green-themed activities, and a partnership with the nearby farm store.
Charlotte Daniel and Ross Troup established the site in 2012 while also starting a family.
The site began with three luxury lodge tents and a tiny honesty store. The location has grown to nine glamping units. These include six safari-style tents, a two-story tent, an old wooden horse truck, and a gypsy caravan with a shepherd’s hut.
The judges stated that their stay was a pleasure from the first moment of contact until departure. They applauded the outstanding accommodation and added that they were welcomed with warm smiles when they opened their tent.
An associate at Secret Meadows, Jackie Chater, attributed the success to ten years of hard work with a good team that works hard together.
“The focus is on the guest, and we all pull together to make it the best experience possible,” she said.
For Secret Meadows, nothing much will change, as they strive to make the glamping experience even more special and enjoyable for everyone.
“Onwards and upwards, not much will change, but we have always been popular. People love coming to us, they love the glamping, and it’s about trying to make that experience even more special.”
