South Wales Touring Park Marks 50 Years with Guest Celebration in June

South Wales Touring Park, also known as Llwynifan Farm, is marking 50 years since the family behind the business first made their home at the site in Llangennech, Carmarthenshire, in 1976. Over the past five decades, the park has developed from a family farm into an adults-only campsite serving touring caravan and motorhome guests.

The business has been operated by Hywel and his sister Cathrin, alongside their parents, who have overseen its gradual expansion and repositioning within the regional touring market.

Today, the site is rated five stars by the national tourist board and is a member of the Premier Parks group, a network of independently owned campsites that meet specific quality standards. The park offers a range of hardstanding and grass pitches, modern amenities, and guest services designed to cater primarily to adult touring customers.

To mark the 50th anniversary milestone, Llwynifan Farm will host a celebratory barbecue for guests on 14 June. According to Out&AboutLive, visitors staying that weekend will receive a complimentary gift from Myddfai, a local producer known for handcrafted products.

In addition, all guests during the anniversary period will be given a commemorative coaster and magnets alongside the site’s standard welcome goody bag on arrival.

The anniversary event represents both a customer appreciation initiative and a marketing opportunity for the business as it enters its sixth decade of operation.

For outdoor hospitality operators, long-running family-owned parks such as Llwynifan Farm illustrate the potential value of incremental reinvestment, brand positioning, and affiliation with quality-focused groups in building long-term customer loyalty.

Anniversary milestones can also provide a platform for targeted promotions, partnerships with local suppliers, and increased direct bookings, particularly when tied to experiential elements such as on-site events.

As the park moves through its 50th year in 2026, the anniversary celebrations are expected to attract repeat guests and first-time visitors, while reinforcing the site’s established position within the South Wales touring market.
