South Lytchett Manor Caravan & Camping Park has retained its Five Star rating and Gold Award from VisitEngland, following a June 2025 inspection that awarded the park a 99% overall quality score, according to a statement on the park’s official website.
The park has consistently achieved this dual recognition since 2019.
The VisitEngland assessment commended the park’s standards across multiple areas, including cleanliness, guest arrival experience, amenities, sustainability efforts, and innovation in accommodation offerings.
The report highlighted that South Lytchett Manor achieved a perfect score in key categories such as cleanliness, glamping accommodations, toilet and washing facilities, touring pitches, and park grounds.
All public areas were noted to be exceptionally clean, with spotless conditions observed in reception and café spaces, as well as shower and toilet blocks.
The guest experience was also emphasized, particularly the personal escorting of guests to their pitches upon arrival, a service aimed at ensuring smooth check-ins and enhancing customer care.
In terms of facility development, the park recently expanded its café, incorporating handmade soft furnishings that contribute to the site’s comfort.
Additionally, a new feature—the Manor’s Tap Bar, operating from a converted Airstream trailer—now offers drinks and outdoor seating, enhancing the social space within the park.
The grounds were described as beautifully maintained, with a clear emphasis on biodiversity, conservation, and seasonal plantings.
The report credited these efforts with elevating the park’s visual and environmental quality.
Glamping options at South Lytchett Manor include Star Gazing Yurts, Nomadic Bell Tents, Roman caravans, Glamping Pods, and Shepherd Huts.
Each accommodation type was described in the assessment as being finished to a high standard and intentionally designed with both privacy and accessibility in mind.
Amenities also cater to families and children, with a fenced recreation area equipped for safety and a large open space that provides room for games and picnics.
These spaces contribute to the park’s ability to serve a wide range of guest needs while maintaining high operational standards.
Owners David and Joanne Bridgen acknowledged the assessment results and attributed the park’s continued success to the efforts of their team and consistent feedback from guests.
“We’re incredibly proud of this result. It’s a testament to the dedication of our entire team and the wonderful feedback we receive from our guests year after year,” they stated on the park’s website.
This latest recognition comes just months after South Lytchett Manor was awarded the Loo of the Year Award in January 2024, a UK-wide accolade celebrating excellence in washroom facilities.
That recognition, along with the park’s selection as the best in the self-catering accommodation category, further reinforces South Lytchett Manor’s status as a leading example in the UK’s holiday park sector.
