Sherwood Pines Adds Exclusive Glade Offering Secluded Camping in Sherwood Forest

Sherwood Pines Campsite has introduced a new semi-private woodland glade within Sherwood Forest, offering six fully serviced hardstanding pitches designed to provide guests with a quieter, more secluded stay.

The new area officially opened this month, expanding the campsite’s range of accommodation options for visitors seeking a balance between comfort and immersion in nature.

Each pitch in the woodland glade includes electric hook-up, fresh water, and grey water disposal, accommodating motorhomes, campervans, and caravans.

The glade is positioned apart from the main campsite, allowing guests additional privacy while maintaining convenient access to central facilities such as the on-site shop, showers, and nearby forest trails.

“We’re really excited to offer something a little different for our returning guests and new visitors alike,” Spencer Pettit, director at Sherwood Pines Campsite, told Marketing Nottingham

“This secluded glade has been thoughtfully developed to balance comfort with the natural beauty and serenity of Sherwood Forest.”

The development aims to attract campers who prefer a peaceful environment without compromising the amenities typically found at larger sites. It also reflects a growing trend in outdoor hospitality toward providing more personalized and nature-integrated experiences.

With guests increasingly seeking tranquil stays and unique natural settings, semi-private offerings like the Sherwood Pines glade represent an evolution in how campgrounds are diversifying their facilities.

For park operators and owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, the project highlights how even small-scale expansions can add value by catering to emerging traveler preferences.

By leveraging existing natural assets—in this case, the surrounding forest—operators can enhance guest satisfaction while differentiating their sites from competitors.

Developments like this one also point to potential revenue growth opportunities through premium pitch offerings and seasonal bookings focused on privacy and scenic appeal.

The woodland glade at Sherwood Pines is now open to guests, marking the latest example of how UK campgrounds are adapting to meet changing visitor expectations while maintaining a strong connection to nature.
