Rowbury Farm Camping Named Among UK’s Top 150 Sites for 2025

Rowbury Farm Camping, located near Goodworth Clatford in Hampshire, has been named one of the top 150 Outstanding Sites for 2025 by the campsite booking platform Campsites.co.uk

The announcement places the 11-acre site among a national selection of destinations recognized for providing consistently well-rated guest experiences across the UK.

The accolade is based on customer reviews and ratings, with Rowbury Farm achieving a 4.94-star score and a 100 percent recommendation rate from previous guests.

Established in 2018 by retired GP Dr Will Liddell, the site was envisioned as a way to reconnect visitors with farmland and nature.

“It’s very nice, we set it up in 2018 with the purpose of helping to reconnect the farm with people and allow them a place to enjoy a quiet place and nature,” Dr Liddell told Andover Advertiser.

The site, situated in a wildflower meadow with views of the Danebury Iron Age hillfort, offers 50 large pitches across a landscape bordered by woods, farmland, and a vineyard.

The recognition from Campsites.co.uk is not entirely unexpected for Dr Liddell, who noted that visitors have consistently praised the campsite. “I haven’t got any doubt that we are outstanding – people have always been really complimentary,” he said.

According to Dr Liddell, the key to the site’s popularity lies in three features: the generously sized pitches, the tranquil atmosphere, and the natural setting of the wildflower meadow. “Because it’s so big, it never feels busy or overcrowded,” he added.

The site currently accommodates up to 150 visitors and remains fully booked during peak summer periods.

With guest satisfaction remaining high, Rowbury Farm Camping has recently brought on new wardens to manage day-to-day operations. Dr Liddell said the new managers are “very good and friendly and making friends with the campers who come.”

From a business standpoint, Rowbury Farm’s recognition offers insights for campground and glamping operators looking to elevate their guest experience.

The emphasis on space, peace, and natural immersion aligns with broader trends in the outdoor hospitality sector, where travelers increasingly prioritize serenity, health benefits, and authentic, low-impact experiences.

As Dr Liddell noted, “Camping has lots of benefits for people, especially kids… It’s good for people’s health. It has to be encouraged.”

Operators looking to improve site appeal might take note of Rowbury Farm’s approach: thoughtful layout, nature-first design, and human-centered service continue to be key drivers of repeat visits and high satisfaction ratings.
