With bookings now accepted for 2025 and 2026, and a handful of dates available for 2024, Rossendale Holiday Cottages is preparing to host weddings that leverage both the beauty of its location and the comprehensive amenities it offers. The package ensures exclusive use of the entire gated site, which includes a variety of accommodations and ceremony locations, from the day before the wedding until 12:30 p.m. the following day of departure.
Couples can choose to exchange vows in The Long Barn, an indoor venue that exudes rustic charm, or opt for one of three picturesque outdoor settings: The Hidden Lake, The Pagoda, or The Island, accommodating up to 60 guests. Post-ceremony, the celebrations can continue in a wedding yurt, set for both the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
Accommodation is provided for all guests, encompassing the bridal suite, cottages, rooms, and glamping pods, ensuring a comfortable stay that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The glamping pods, known for their luxury, warmth, and tranquility, offer a unique lodging experience, with options available for couples or individuals.
In the outdoor hospitality industry, Rossendale’s approach highlights several key strategies in diversifying accommodation options, integrating upscale amenities, offering flexible and comprehensive event packages, and leveraging natural surroundings to enhance guest experiences. The venue’s exclusive two-night wedding package provides an example of leveraging location, luxury, and glam
“We are really excited to start offering weddings here in Rossendale. When we first took over this space back in 2014, there were just a few stable blocks. We’re so proud of how far we’ve come and can’t wait to host our first wedding,” Jonny Wilson, director of the company, said, as quoted in a Lancashire Telegraph report.
The package also grants exclusive access to the Hayshed Café Bar and unlimited access to the venue’s extensive grounds, featuring nature trails, lakes, terraces, and fire pits, ideal for guests wishing to explore or simply soak in the beauty of the Rossendale hills.
