Rockfield Glamping, a family-run business set on a working Welsh sheep farm in Monmouthshire, has opened its doors to guests seeking countryside experiences paired with unique accommodations.
The glamping site is operated by Sarah, a third-generation farmer who also brings more than 15 years of experience in the travel industry to the venture.
“I’ve worked in senior roles within the Travel industry for over 15 years, so I’m completely focused on what you want and making your stay as pleasurable as possible,” she said on the site’s website.

The site is located in Rockfield, a village best known for its recording studios, where artists including Queen, Oasis, Coldplay, and Tom Jones have produced music.
Nearby attractions include fishing and nature walks along the River Monnow, The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club, and views of the Monnow Valley.
Rockfield Glamping offers accommodation in furnished bell tents, each equipped with private horse trailer bathroom facilities that include a sink, toilet, shower, and bath. Amenities also include fire pits with BBQ racks, solar lighting, picnic benches, and log seating.

Guests receive a welcome pack with essentials such as a starter log set, handwash, and a bottle of sparkling wine. The site also provides a communal kitchen area with cooking and refrigeration facilities.
To enhance the visitor experience, the business collaborates with several local enterprises, including Oldfield Forge, Tasty Trays, and Dream Capture Photography.
This approach connects the glampsite to the wider regional economy while offering guests additional services and activities.

For industry professionals, Rockfield Glamping illustrates how small-scale, family-operated sites can differentiate themselves through unique features such as horsebox bathrooms, locally integrated partnerships, and strong ties to regional attractions.
The business model highlights how blending local heritage, farm-based experiences, and thoughtful amenities can position a glamping site competitively within a growing market.
Bookings at Rockfield Glamping require at least one guest over 25 years old, and a security deposit is taken before arrival. Dogs are welcome under certain conditions. Arrival is from 3:30 p.m., with departure by 10:30 a.m.
