A new glamping venture has opened within the historic Quex Park Estate in Birchington, Kent, aiming to provide a family-focused, short-break destination during the peak summer season.
Quex Glamping comprises 20 furnished bell tents, each equipped with beds, lighting, and essential amenities intended to offer guests a ready-made camping experience without the need to bring their own gear.
Guests have access to toilets, showers, and designated barbecue areas, designed to accommodate families seeking outdoor stays with convenient facilities.
The glamping site is currently promoting a seasonal “Stay and Play” offer, starting from £95 per night, which includes complimentary admission to two of Quex Park’s nearby attractions.
These include Quex Adventure Farm Park, which has adopted a pirate theme for summer 2025, and Quex Adventure Golf, a landscaped 18-hole mini-golf course with on-site refreshments.
The Adventure Farm Park attraction features large paddling pools, treasure hunts, animal enclosures, and activity-based play, including bouncing pillows and a zipline.
Its family-oriented features are intended to complement the glamping stay and appeal to guests traveling with children. The mini-golf course offers a less physically demanding option, suitable for all ages.
Graham Stroud, director at Quex Glamping, told Isle of Thanet News:
“We’ve created Quex Glamping to be the perfect mini-break: combining outdoor comfort, unique local experiences, and easy access to beaches and adventure. It’s an unforgettable way to enjoy the very best of Kent.”
For outdoor hospitality operators, this integrated model of on-site accommodation bundled with attraction access could present a scalable template for increasing visitor spend and dwell time, particularly in high-footfall tourist regions.
Operators may also view the Quex Park initiative as a case study in leveraging existing land and attractions to generate new revenue streams through experiential accommodation.
The inclusion of value-added perks like attraction entry may also help increase mid-week occupancy and differentiate the offering in a competitive leisure market.
The Stay and Play promotion is expected to run throughout the 2025 summer season.
