Pencelli Castle Caravan and Camping Park in Mid Wales has received a Diamond grading from the Loo of the Year Awards for 2025, marking another recognition of the site’s facilities and standards.
This follows the park maintaining its five-star rating with the Welsh Tourist Board and an increase in its AA Grading, now standing at 95%, which has earned the site a Platinum five-star rating.
According to Craig Rees of the campsite, “We very gratefully received a Diamond rating from Loo Of The Year Award for 2025. We also maintained our five star rating with the Welsh Tourist Board and we were extremely proud to have had an increase in our AA Grading, taking us to 95%. This now awards us a Platinum five star rating, with only a select few Caravan and Camping parks awarded this grading in the whole of the UK.”
The campsite’s facilities include a centrally heated, spacious shower and toilet block, designed to accommodate families and disabled guests. The site also provides a wash and laundry room, along with a drying room for visitors, according to the Brecon & Radnor Express.
These features are part of a wider effort in the outdoor hospitality sector to enhance guest experiences and maintain high operational standards, which can help similar operators benchmark their facilities and service offerings.
The park is currently closed for the winter season, but online bookings for 2026 are now open, allowing guests to secure stays for key dates and bank holidays. Pencelli Castle Caravan and Camping Park is scheduled to reopen on Friday, 13 February 2026.
