Pembrokeshire Campsites Shine with Eight Wins in Prestigious Camping Awards

Pembrokeshire campsites have been prominently recognized in the 2024 Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping Awards, with six sites collectively earning eight distinctions. The awards celebrate exceptional camping and glamping destinations across the UK.

Folly Farm Holiday Park received two honors: Best Family Campsite in South Wales and runner-up for Best Family Campsite in the UK.

Situated adjacent to the well-known Folly Farm attraction in Begelly, the site offers amenities such as fully serviced hardstanding pitches, grass pitches, and a variety of glamping options including showman’s wagons and safari tents.

According to a report by Pembroke Today, guests have praised the site highly, reflected in its 4.97-star rating and unanimous recommendation rate, with reviews citing it as a “fantastic holiday park” and “perfect location.”

Other Pembrokeshire winners include Quarry Park Camping in Haverfordwest, which secured Best Campsite in South Wales and was runner-up for Best Small Campsite in the UK. Pelcomb Cross Campsite, also in Haverfordwest, was named runner-up for Best Caravan Park in South Wales.

Oaklea in Narberth earned runner-up for Best Campsite in South Wales. The countryside location near the Daugleddau estuary offers grass and hardstanding pitches along with two shepherd’s huts. Guests have highlighted its serene environment and dark night skies, with one reviewer remarking on the extraordinary star visibility.

Beachside Glamping in Dale and Wigwam Holidays Shellstone in Jameston were both recognized as runners-up for Best Glamping Site in South Wales. Wigwam Holidays Shellstone features six en-suite glamping pods set around a wildlife pond, one of which is wheelchair accessible.

The site, which holds a 4.81-star rating, has been commended for its cleanliness and thoughtful amenities, with reviews describing it as “immaculate” and “an unforgettable experience.”

The Campsites.co.uk awards evaluate sites based on guest reviews, value for money, facilities, location, service, and cleanliness, as well as editorial insights and site visits.
