A Norfolk (United Kingdom) glamping site has been declared winner of the Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism Award during the East of England Tourism Awards 2021-2022.
As per a report, Wild With Nature, situated on the grounds of Manor Farm in Shropham, Norfolk, provides a glamping experience across 750 acres of beautiful Norfolk countryside.
Three generations of the same family have been managing the farm. In 2018, it put the majority of the land in a conservation program as a step towards an environmentally sustainable future.
Today, the site is home to various luxury yurts and huts located on the two lakeside locations, Honey Pot Meadow and The Lakes. Both locations are off-grid to power, water, and drainage in line with the ecologically sustainable changes to the farm.
Guests can also enjoy wild swimming, paddle boarding, sailing, and kayaking throughout their stay.
Judges praised the family-owned business and said it is a living example of the fundamental values of being one with nature while also offering the highest standard of accommodations and a memorable holiday experience for guests.
When asked what it was like to win, Andrew Thornton, owner of Wild With Nature, said, “It’s really rewarding. We’ve put a lot of time and effort into making lots of changes which are better for the environment. It’s wonderful to have the recognition.”
“This really is humbling, we were up against a lot of competition, and we’re really proud to have won this award,” Thornton said.
