The approved plans include the siting of four self-contained glamping pods, along with designated tent pitches for guest use.
Supporting works such as decking, on-site parking, secure bicycle storage, and recycling and refuse storage facilities were also included in the consent. Entry to the site will be through the applicant’s existing driveway, a detail noted in the application documents.
Two pod designs were submitted as part of the proposal. One measures 6.9 metres by 4.2 metres, while the other measures 7.8 metres by 4.2 metres. Both configurations include sleeping and seating areas, cooking facilities, and a private toilet and shower room, positioning the units within the fully serviced end of the glamping market rather than basic camping accommodation.
