Lyons Holiday Parks Announces Multi-Million Investment Across Two North Wales Sites

Lyons Holiday Parks has announced multi-million-pound investment projects at two of its North Wales sites, aimed at enhancing facilities for guests and holiday home owners. The operator, which manages more than 20 parks across the UK, said the projects are part of a broader strategy to improve guest satisfaction and support growth in its holiday home ownership sector.

At Lyons Robin Hood, located between Rhyl and Prestatyn, the company is investing over £1.5 million in a new activity hub. The development will feature high ropes and low ropes courses, a go-karting track, bungee trampolines, a multi-sports court, a climbing wall, a bouncy pillow, and an adventure play park.

Lyons said the additions are intended to “enhance the year-round family experience and attract new generations of holiday home owners.” While primarily for guests and owners, the operator confirmed that the facilities will also be open to the public during off-peak periods.

Meanwhile, Lyons Lido Beach, a beachfront park in Prestatyn, is preparing a contemporary complex scheduled to open in 2026. The new development will include a restaurant, bar, lounge, park reception, sales lounge for holiday home ownership, and an adventure play park.

The company noted that the restaurant and bar will be accessible to the public, marking a first for the park. “Due to open in 2026, the new complex will transform the arrival and hospitality experience at Lido Beach,” Lyons stated.

Directors of Lyons Holiday Parks said these projects are aligned with the group’s long-term plans to maintain high standards across its portfolio and provide new opportunities for both guests and local communities.

“As a family-run business for more than 100 years, reinvesting into our parks and the communities we’re part of is at the heart of what we do,” the company told WalesOnline

“These developments represent our commitment to creating exceptional spaces for our holiday home owners and guests, while also opening up new opportunities for locals to enjoy our facilities.”

For professionals in the outdoor hospitality sector, Lyons’ approach highlights the potential impact of targeted facility investment on guest retention, holiday home sales, and local tourism engagement, offering a case study in combining guest experience upgrades with community access.
