Love2Stay Shrewsbury Earns Five AA Gold Stars for 2025

Love2Stay, a resort located in Emstrey, Shrewsbury, has received a five Gold Star rating under the AA Star Grading Scheme for Caravan and Camping Parks following a quality inspection that earned the site a 95 percent score.

The accolade is part of the AA’s 2025 assessments of holiday parks across the UK.

Stephen Wilkinson, an AA inspector, confirmed the rating. “In terms of the AA Quality standards, Love2Stay Shrewsbury continues to merit the award of five AA Gold Stars for 2025,” she told the Shropshire Star

Wilkinson highlighted features such as the BBQ and pizza oven areas, the open water pool, beach and paddle pool, and the layout of the site, which he described as well thought out.

“It was a pleasure to visit this site and be shown around by Lynsey Wilkinson, who shared her great passion for the site and its excellent facilities,” he said.

The site is jointly managed by Charlie Ward and Lynsey Wilkinson. Ward responded to the rating by emphasizing the team’s dedication to delivering high standards.

“The five-star grading from the AA is fantastic news and recognition of all the investment and hard work that has gone into our wonderful resort,” he said. “We are very proud of the standard of our facilities and the quality customer service that we provide to our guests.”

Love2Stay marked its eighth anniversary in May 2025. The resort operates on a 22-acre site and includes a glamping village, an adventure centre, and a touring caravan park with 118 pitches.

Over the past year, the resort has continued to expand its offering. In early 2025, the business invested £750,000 in five new Severn holiday lodges to accommodate increased demand for UK-based short breaks.

The company reports that the new accommodations have been well-received by guests.

The resort now offers a mix of five luxury lodges, 11 safari lodges, and 11 woodland lodges. On-site amenities include a bio swimming pool, splash pool, artificial beach, outdoor cinema, and a variety of wellness and family-focused activities.

The resort is adjacent to the headquarters of its parent company, Salop Leisure, and features countryside views stretching from the Shropshire Hills to Wales.

For outdoor hospitality operators, the sustained success of Love2Stay demonstrates the impact of reinvestment, diversified lodging options, and continued enhancement of guest experiences.

As the domestic travel market continues to remain strong, particularly in the glamping and caravanning sectors, facilities that prioritize high service standards and creative use of space may be well-positioned for growth and recognition in industry ratings.
